Andrew, Ryan, Nicholas, Alexander, David, Eric, and Robert each gave one Valentine's Day card to a girl in their class. The girls Elizabeth, Makayla, Kylie, Madison, Julia, Mackenzie, and Shelby each received one Valentine's Day card and want to know who gave it to them.

1.    Nicholas did not give a card to Shelby.

2.    Andrew did not give a card to Elizabeth.

3.    Robert gave Mackenzie a card.

4.    Julia knows that either David or Eric gave her a card.

5.    Andrew likes Elizabeth and Shelby. He gave a card to one of them.

6.    Alexander could not decide whether to give a card to Elizabeth or to Kylie. They are both nice, and he likes to talk to both of them. Since he couldn't decide, he decided to give a card to someone else on Valentine's Day!

7.    Julia heard Ryan say that he did not give a card to Makayla.

8.    Elizabeth heard David say that he did not give a card to Kylie.

9.    Ryan did not give a card to Madison.

10.    David likes Shelby and Makayla. He gave a card to one of them.

11.    Shelby heard Nicholas say that he did not give a card to Elizabeth.
